HELP US GROW - USE FACEBOOK
BBM is the longest-running fantasy baseball game on the Internet and we'd like your help in growing the game. Please log into your team using the Baseball Manager Facebook page at
http://www.facebook.com/baseballmanager. Just follow the "Play Now" link from the page.
Logging in through Facebook helps grow the game through the social network. Accessing the game via Facebook will raise the visibility of the game. Your friends and friends of friends will see that you are playing the best fantasy baseball game and some will make inquiries about the game and whether they should join, which of course we know what you will say. We'd greatly appreciate you accessing the game at least once in the coming weeks via Facebook. Thanks. This is something we can easily "Like."
BBM-PINETAR GATHERING IN MIAMI
Devoted managers brought BBM to the Big Leagues last month.
Nearly three dozen managers, family members and friends met in Miami for a festive four days of fun, sun, group dinners, parties, BBM discussions and a group trip to Marlins Park for a Miami Marlins game.
Among the highlights:
- Thursday evening group dinner at Shula's Steakhouse.
- A near seven-hour celebration at Shooter's Waterfront Care in which Pinetar organizer Hummin'bird gave away Pinetar t-shirts, BBM Grounds Crew Chief Bob Davidson provided BBM t-shirts and veteran manager Poolboy provided musical entertainment presenting kazoos to the group.
- On Saturday, managers took a chartered bus to the Marlins game where veteran manager Hop Head played mandolin and Ump Larry West's son, Jake, played guitar prompting a chorus of clapping and kazoo playing from managers.
- During the game, the Marlins scoreboard flashed a welcome message to Pinetar and BBM (see photo) and the group held a contest in which managers selected any eight hitters from the game and used the BBM Game Resolution Formula to determine contest winners, vets Gil Weiner and Catherine "Lady Cat" Ahearn
Managers came from all over the country - Sammy and his wife from Connecticut, a strong Philadelphia-area contingent including veteran managers Poolboy, Coach, Baldy and Jay, Hop Head and his wife came in from Wisconsin, Longie and his better half from New York and the "Don't Mess with Texas" crew of Ump and family, Humin'bird and his wife and veteran manager Lady Cat and her husband, Sir Cat - to meet in Miami for the event.

JIM THOME AND CHAD QUALLS' SALARY REFUND
Both Jim Thome and Chad Qualls were traded from the NL to the AL. We have refunded and deleted both players from the NL so if you owned them you received their refund.
During the deletion process, I made an error replacing Thome on some rosters with Val Pascucci, who has no NL stats. My apologies for my error and any confusion it caused.
We have deleted and refunded these players. If you have any questions or issues, please email me at
Rich@BaseballManager.com. Thank you.
All the best,
Commissioner Richard Pagliaro
