INTRODUCTION: During the enrollment to our fantasy games, or if you order merchandise from us, you provide us with your name, address, phone number, email address and credit card information. GameLine understands that you may be concerned about what will happen with this information. As a result, GameLine has adopted the following Privacy Policy, which discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices. The policies below are applicable to Gamelinesports.com, BaseballManager.com and other sites on the World Wide Web owned and operated by GameLine.
OUR PRIVACY PROMISE: GameLine will NEVER sell, exchange, or release any of your individual personal information to a third party without your express permission. However, if you enroll in our games through a third party, you understand and agree that GameLine may provide individual personal information to that third party.
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT: GameLine collects the following information: (i) names; (ii) addresses; (iii) phone numbers; (iv) email addresses; and (v) credit card information. In addition, in our marketing surveys, GameLine asks for information about the user's age, gender, income bracket, and other demographic questions, as well as other general questions about our products and preferences for certain other products. We also collect IP addresses but that is only to help us diagnose problems with our server and to administer our web site.
WHY WE NEED THE INFORMATION: GameLine uses the data you provide during the enrollment process to allow you to subscribe online, simply and quickly. Financial information that is collected is used to check the user's qualifications for registration and to bill the user for products and services. The demographic and profile data we collect is used to create aggregate data about our customer base, which we may share with advertisers on an aggregate basis only. In addition, we request email addresses as this allows GameLine to notify you of your fantasy game ID, and enables us to contact you during the season with special news and announcements.
SECURITY: All of the information you provide GameLine is protected by a secure application layer protocol, which ensures both the privacy and authenticity of your data as it travels across the Internet. Any personal information you give us will be kept completely confidential and secure.
AGGREGATE INFORMATION: From time to time, GameLine may reveal to third parties aggregate information about its subscribers.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES: GameLine does link to other sites. GameLine is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites. GameLine does not share any of the individual personal information you provide GameLine with the sites that GameLine links to, although GameLine may share aggregate data with such sites.
PUBLIC FORUMS: GameLine does offer chat rooms and bulletin boards to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information in the chat rooms and on the bulletin boards. If you post personal information online, or post a message to the bulletin board that will include your email address, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and/or any account information.
INDIVIDUALS UNDER 18: GameLine encourages parents to spend time online with their children and to participate in the interactive activities offered on the sites. No information should be submitted or posted at GameLine's web sites by those under 18 years of age without the consent of their parent or guardian. If you do get permission from your parent or guardian, you should never use your full name when making public posts on our sites. Just submit your first name or initials.
