How is my Tournament established?

When you enroll you will select a major league team. You are then placed into the next available tournament.  If someone has already selected that team, you will be placed in the next available league where no one has selected the team of your choice, or a new one will be created for you.

You can also reserve a league for you and seven of your friends.

Once a tournament is filled with 8 different teams, the playoffs schedule is set. First round opponents are randomly selected.  Second round opponents are established by the best first round score playing against the fourth best score and the second best score playing the third round score. The final round consists of the two remaining winners of the previous rounds.

Home field advantage is determined randomly in the first round. After that, the team with the better record gets home field advantage.

The winning teams are reordered after every round by record (4-0 gets listed first, then 4-1, 4-2, etc) and, if tied, by Runs Scored – Runs Against. The top team then is faced off against the lowest ranking team, the 2nd team against the 2nd lowest ranking, etc...
