Your best bet to get into a league without ROBOs is first to get involved in the Diamond Club (http://dc.baseballmanager.com/wb). The Diamond Club (DC) is the message board for Baseball Manager. It is here that managers check in with their leagues, post questions about the game, and chat about all matters of life (as if Baseball, and Baseball Manager, weren't the most essential things IN life). On the DC, you can get a feel for who the more active managers and leagues are. If it is possible, join a league that seems active. Or you can post your wishes to be included in such an active league under the headings 'From AL Keeper Leagues' or 'Form NL Ultimate Leagues', etc., depending on the type of BBM experience for which you are looking. Or, you can try to start your own league by finding active managers on the DC who wish to join you. Usually, managers and leagues that are active on the DC are really INTO the game of BBM. Thus, you would have an idea that those active on the DC are very unlikely to have or to tolerate ROBOs in their leagues. It is also likely that leagues with a long history (3-4 years' experience) are ones that are much less susceptible to ROBOs.
