How do I bid on free agents?

Once you've selected the free agent on whom you want to bid and which player, if any, to release, you must decide on the salary you are willing to pay. The dollar amount listed is the minimum amount this player will accept to play for your team.  He does have his standards, after all.  Being the shrewd manager you are, you must decide 1) are you willing to pay that much; 2) do you think others may bid on the same free agent that night; and 3) are you willing to pay the player more than the minimum.

Only you can decide what the value of the player is. Remember that you will likely sign many free agents, so bid wisely.

When you have decided the amount you want to bid, enter the amount in the 'Claim' box at the top of the free agent page.  Since all salaries are in thousands, you don't have to add the last three 0's. (To bid $2,500,000, enter 2500) Note: the maximum bid on any player is $5,000,000 ($5000k).

You've decided on which player to claim, which to release and how much to bid on the free agent.  If all of your entries are correct, click 'Claim Player' at either the top or bottom of the page.
