Welcome to the Baseball Manager Guide! The Guide was written by a select panel of BBM staff and esteemed managers who have collaborated to consolidate more than a century of collective BBM experience into a detailed document that offers instruction, insight and comprehensive answers to the most commonly-asked game questions. The Guide is to inquisitive managers what Webster's is to writers: the definitive word. Each chapter of this Guide contains an explanation of the chapter topic followed by several FAQs (frequently asked questions) that thoroughly explain both the common –and complex—questions that occur throughout the course of the season.
Use this guide the way a major league manager consults a veteran bench coach: as an invaluable, insightful and informative resource that can help you make more decisive managerial moves (and unlike some bench coaches it won't spit chewing tobacco on your shoes or litter the dugout with sunflower seeds). The Guide is always available to read online and is updated by the BBM staff. So periodically peruse it for updates, print it out to read between games, and use it to wallpaper the walls of your clubhouse so your players know the rules. You can even type in questions and search for answers. So we've talked you into it - you want to play Baseball Manager. Great! Signing up is fairly easy. Decide which league you want to play in - American, National or All-Universe - and whether you want a 54 game or 162 game season. You can chooseto start your own reserved league, join a specific league, or join the next available league. Once you sign up, you will have access to your team immediately, and you can begin to prepare for your draft!
