Once again, this question is similar to the preceding two questions. Even though you might have a traditional starter on your roster, if he hasn't started a game in real MLB, you cannot use him in that capacity. Take John Smoltz in 2002. He had been a career starter, but was moved to the closer's role that season. If you drafted him hoping to use him as a starter, you would have been out of luck, because he never started a game in 2002. However, you would also have gotten a very good relief pitcher in that deal, and you could have used every one of his relief appearances for your BBM team.
