This question is the flip side of the preceding one. The simple answer to this question is 'yes.' The reason that this is true has to do with the same reasoning listed above. As long as a pitcher has appeared in a particular role in an actual major league game, he can appear in that role in a BBM game. Once again, though, keep in mind that the number of times a player can appear in that role is equal to the number of times a player appears that way in real major league baseball. BBM is not like Rotisserie or other fantasy leagues, where a player 'qualifies' at a particular position once he has appeared at that position a certain amount of times. If you have a reliever on your roster who starts a handful of games (let's say 4), then he may start for you in four BBM games during the season. As long as that player has stats from a particular role from real MLB, you can use him in that role in BBM.
Also, one further note concerns pitchers who have both relief and starting stats available, meaning they could fill both roles on your team. If a starter who also has relief stats is locked into a start (meaning he will pitch in the next three days), he WILL not be used as a reliever during the time he is 'locked in' as a starter. If you have Batista slated to pitch in two days, he will not relieve tonight, tomorrow, nor the night he pitches. You will need to manage your bullpen accordingly to account for the fact that a reliever who is starting will be unavailable for relief duty for the three days he is locked in as a starter.
