During the season, you manage your team like you would any major-league team: you set lineups, starting rotations, reserve lists, make calls to your bullpen, pick up free agents, and make block-buster deals! You can monitor your team daily, or let the game fill in lineup holes for you -- either way, you are just like a real-life manager in the bigs -- fielding a full squad every evening!

As you watch real-life baseball games, you can root for your players. If McGwire launches one that night, and you're lucky enough to have him on your team, then chances are that stat will be used in your BBM game that night as well!

One of the unique features of BBM, an aspect of our game that sets it apart from any other fantasy baseball game, is the ability to throw left-handed or right-handed pitchers at an opposing team. This adds incredible realism to the game. If a platoon player plays only against left-handed pitching, then in Baseball Manager you can only play him when you are facing a left-handed pitcher. This feature is offered to users who play Ultimate Baseball Manager.

So, if you're playing a team that has a lot of left-handed hitters, you'll probably want to throw Randy Johnson against them during your three-game series. Fun, huh? You bet.
